The Briggs Law Firm was founded on March 1, 2000 by Ocala native Randy R. Briggs. He brought to the practice over 25 years of experience, Board Certifications in Civil Trial Law awarded by both the Florida Bar and the National Board of Trial Advocacy, and an "AV" rating by Martindale-Hubbell, its highest peer review ratings for legal ability and ethics. His experience included jury trials throughout Florida, including Miami, Pensacola, Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, and numerous Central Florida cities. His résumé can be reviewed at Attorney Profiles. Randy founded The Briggs Law Firm which was opened with the primary objective of helping the victims of wrongdoing through compassionate and personal lawyering. This objective is expressed through the firm’s trademarked motto: “Traditional Help for Truly Injured.”
Our experience includes handling, from inception to conclusion, claims involving auto accidents, boating accidents, motorcycle accidents, train accidents, trucking accidents, pedestrian accidents, bicycle accidents, accidents involving tripping or falling, swimming pool accidents, inadequate security claims, golf cart accidents, nursing home liability claims, very selective claims of obvious medical malpractice, and complex product liability claims.
In days of old, before computers, cell phones, voice mail, and widespread TV advertising by personal injury attorneys, someone in need of an attorney asked family, friends, or others trusted in the community for a recommendation on lawyers. Similarly in our practice today, most all of our clients come to us through personal referral from friends, clients, past clients, and other attorneys – not through advertising.
We believe the traditional roles of the attorney as both advocate and counselor should not change. While an assembly line may now be the most efficient way to create most products and even some law practices, we maintain a different view of our practice. While we embrace technology, there are certain traditions our firm refuses to abandon. If we agree to take on your case, and you desire to hire our firm, you can expect a personalized experience. You can expect a relationship which will bring a heartfelt sense of commitment to your case.
The Briggs Law Firm does not take on representation in all cases we review. In many situations, either a case does not meet our criteria or we conclude another lawyer is better suited to handle the matter. We accept representation only in those situations where we believe our firm is a good match for both the case and the prospective client.
